{"id":3036,"date":"2021-10-14T14:39:53","date_gmt":"2021-10-14T12:39:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/i360.trejka05.pl\/?p=3036"},"modified":"2023-10-27T14:22:03","modified_gmt":"2023-10-27T12:22:03","slug":"how-to-motivate-employees","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/i360.com.pl\/en\/jak-motywowac-pracownikow\/","title":{"rendered":"How can you motivate your staff?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Motivating employees, colleagues, as well as business partners, distributors, wholesalers and their staff is one of the most frequently searched terms in web browsers within the broad field of loyalty and incentive schemes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In practice, this means that most business owners, as well as HR and trade marketing departments, look online for inspiration and ideas for interesting \u2013 but above all effective \u2013 promotional campaigns that boost the productivity of their target groups and motivate them to achieve ambitious goals. In an effort to address these needs, below I outline the conclusions drawn from i360\u2019s 13 years of experience and key observations from my own 26 years of professional practice in the field of <strong>staff motivation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What do we really mean when we type the phrase \u201ehow to motivate employees\u201d into Google?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If we apply cold logic, the answer to the question of whether <strong>how to motivate staff<\/strong> It\u2019s simple. We should give them a pay rise. Or, at the very least, a one-off bonus. Let\u2019s switch roles for a moment. Let\u2019s imagine that it\u2019s not us looking for ways to motivate others, but rather wondering what sort of action would best motivate us (as employees) to work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Exactly. Unless your surname is Rockefeller or Buffett, or your father happens to own a substantial stake in Apple or Facebook, your thoughts are bound to revolve around money. Guaranteed money. Unconditional money. Not the sort promised for increasing sales by 1000% or exceeding KPIs by 250% within three months. Hard cash transferred into your bank account. With which you\u2019ll pay off your mortgage, head to a spa in the Maldives or buy a car with the BMW logo on the bonnet \u2013 and, of course, the letter \u2018M\u2019 on the boot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This reflection suggests that the right question is therefore not \u201ehow to motivate employees?\u201d, but \u201ehow to motivate employees in a different way (more effectively and more cheaply) than by giving them a pay rise or a bonus\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">So how can we boost staff motivation in a cost-effective way?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There is no single correct answer to a question phrased in this way. It all depends on the details. After all, we will motivate senior management in one way, line managers in a completely different way, and we should adopt a completely different approach when dealing with sales representatives \u2013 whether they are our own staff or representatives of distributors or wholesalers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Let\u2019s start with this<strong> how to motivate management staff<\/strong>. To answer this question, let\u2019s consider why people come to work. In the post-Covid era, it would be more accurate to say \u201ework\u201d, because for the past 1.5 years, work has ceased to be directly linked to coming to the office. Powod\u00f3w jest ca\u0142e mn\u00f3stwo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The answer to the question \u201e<strong>How can you motivate your staff?<\/strong>\u201d le\u017cy w\u0142a\u015bnie w odpowiedzi na powy\u017csze oraz umiej\u0119tnym bod\u017acowaniu poszczeg\u00f3lnych czynnik\u00f3w, kt\u00f3re sprawiaj\u0105, i\u017c po fili\u017cance porannej kawy rozpoczynamy kilku &#8211; czasami kilkunastogodzinn\u0105 prac\u0119. To w\u0142a\u015bnie szerokie spektrum powod\u00f3w do pracy sprawia, \u017ce nie spos\u00f3b udzieli\u0107 jednej odpowiedzi na pytanie o jedyny w\u0142a\u015bciwy spos\u00f3b motywowania pracownik\u00f3w.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Staff motivation \u2013 how do we go about it at i360?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our professional work at i360 involves running short- and long-term incentive schemes for international corporations and Poland\u2019s largest companies. These are aimed at employees at all levels of management and across the various links in the distribution chain, in both traditional and modern retail. From a distributor\u2019s sales representative to a shop assistant at the local shop round the corner.
