Those organising promotional, audiotext and prize-draw lotteries; 2. Those consciously choosing not to use marketing techniques; 3. Those organising lotteries without realising that they are doing so. We shall discuss each of these three categories.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>How might you unwittingly organise a lottery, and what are the consequences?<\/strong><\/h2><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"ru_h2 wp-block-heading\">First group \u2013 organisation in accordance with the regulations<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This group includes all entities which, in accordance with the relevant legislation, actively organise lotteries (under the Polish Gambling Act) either on their own or by commissioning specialist organisations to prepare and run them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"ru_h2 wp-block-heading\">The second group \u2013 opting out of the lottery<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The second group consists of companies that simply do not use this promotional technique. They do so in full knowledge of the facts, as they consider the process of applying for permits to organise such events to be too time-consuming. This is hardly surprising \u2013 in order to obtain a favourable decision from the Director of the Tax Administration Chamber, one must complete a great deal of paperwork, secure a bank guarantee for the prizes, and so on. Once all that is done, the lottery must, of course, be properly run and accounted for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The organiser must notify the Head of the Customs and Tax Office of the start of the campaign, specify how prizes can be claimed, and then prepare and register with the Tax Office two (in the case of promotional lotteries) or even four (in the case of audiotext lotteries) registers. In practice, the winners will have long since collected their prizes and forgotten all about the matter, whilst the organisers are still formally settling the accounts for the entire campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"ru_h2 wp-block-heading\">The third group \u2013 the unorganised running of lotteries<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The final group comprises those who organise lotteries without realising it. This means that they are simply not complying with the regulations. Usually, this situation is simply down to a lack of knowledge. Of course, this does not excuse ignorance of the law and the associated consequences. For this reason, it is worth knowing what risks such actions entail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The text below is intended as a guide outlining the potential risks associated with organising a lottery without the necessary licences. It will also explain how to monitor your own marketing activities.
