The AML Act \u2013 what are the obligations of lottery organisers?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lottery organisers are subject to the obligations set out in the Act of 1 March 2018 on the prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing. The most important of these include, amongst others:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The application of financial safeguards in relation to clients;<\/li><li>Identifying and documenting the risks of money laundering and terrorist financing;<\/li><li>Assessing the level of identified risk.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Financial safeguards<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The financial safeguards mentioned above included, for example:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Identification and verification of the customer\u2019s identity;<\/li><li>Assessing economic relations and obtaining information on their purpose and nature;<\/li><li>Ongoing monitoring of the client\u2019s business relations.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Financial security measures are used by lottery organisers in a number of situations.
