What is a BLIK cheque?

Cheques are an innovative and unique BLIK service that you can use in much the same way as BLIK codes.

There are schemes on the market under which BLIK cheques are distributed; these can only be used to withdraw cash from an ATM.

i360 offers and distributes BLIK cheques, which can be used to make payments at retail outlets.

The differences between the BLIK code and the BLIK cheque

BLIK code It is a payment method similar to card payments or express bank transfers, where funds are debited from the account linked to the generated BLIK code (6 digits). You must confirm this payment by authorising it in your bank’s app. You can also use BLIK codes to withdraw cash from an ATM.

BLIK cheque It can also be used to settle transactions. The difference is that the cheque you receive has a predetermined value, e.g. 50 zł. It works in a similar way to a prepaid card. It can be used to withdraw cash from an ATM, make payments at retail outlets and for e-commerce transactions.

A cheque consists of a 9-digit code and an authorisation PIN.

The transaction is processed up to the value of the cheque. If the transaction amount exceeds the value of the cheque, the transaction must be split and the shortfall paid in cash or by another means of payment.
